Funai Electric Co., Ltd. (“Funai Electric”), Funai Corporation, Inc.
(“Funai Corporation”), Vizio, Inc. (“Vizio”), AmTran Technology Co.,
Ltd. (“AmTran”), and Suzhou Raken Technology Ltd. (“Suzhou Raken”)
announced today that they have signed a settlement agreement between
Funai Electric and Funai Corporation on the one hand and Vizio, AmTran
and Suzhou Raken on the other hand together with a cross license agreement
between Funai Electric on the one hand and Vizio and AmTran on the other
hand, ending a patent dispute that began in 2007. The settlement
encompasses actions that each party has filed in the U.S. The terms of
both the settlement agreement and the cross license agreement were not
released. The parties will file requests for dismissal of all
outstanding actions in the appropriate courts
